Become a site host for Electric Vehicle chargers and drive visitors to your site

The NSW Government is helping to create an electric vehicle (EV) charging network across our state. This includes funding for powerful ultra-fast chargers in key locations. We are seeking expressions of interest from landowners and lease holders who want to host EV chargers to boost visitation to their sites and local area.

Benefits of being an EV charger site host.

Hosting EV chargers bring huge benefits – the main one being attracting more customers. With EV ownership growing across NSW, there are more EV drivers on our state’s roads, looking for places to charge their vehicles. The availability of an EV charger determines where EV drivers choose to stop. As a location with EV chargers, you will be listed on dedicated EV charger apps.

EVs are likely to be charging for at least 15 minutes and most EV drivers will use this time to shop, dine and visit local facilities – increasing the benefit for the local area as well as the site host.

NSW Government has published an EV charger site host prospectus. The prospectus highlights the benefits of site hosting and actions for an interested site host.

Potential site hosts are advised to read the prospectus and discuss the sites they operate which may be suitable for hosting charging infrastructure.
