Auckland Transport and DCA’s partnership extended
Auckland Transport has recently awarded Database Consultants Australia (DCA) a five year contract extension to continue delivering its integrated parking management system.
The contract extension will see DCA continue to partner with Auckland Transport to deliver an industry best practice integrated parking management system, designed to support traffic management, parking equity and improve the overall community experience.
John Strawbridge, Group Manager, Parking Services & Compliance said “Auckland Transport’s relationship with DCA has gone from strength to strength over the years. Our transformation to a modern digital platform has been underpinned by trust, innovation and the ANZAC spirit. The commitment by DCA and AT over the next 5 years will enable more success and even better service for Auckland”
DCA Cities, Shane Treacy said we’re delighted to continue on the parking digitisation journey with Auckland Transport.
“In partnership with Auckland Transport we’ve implemented a community centric parking management solution with a system architecture to support future growth” Mr Treacy said.
From humble beginnings in 2002, the partnership commenced with PinForce Mobile, DCA’s handheld compliance technology. Since, DCA has supported Auckland Transport’s community centric digitisation strategy with the development and introduction of the AT Park app for wayfinding, and payment of both on and off-street parking.
The introduction of digital permits further supported Auckland Transport’s strategy of putting the customer first by replacing a cumbersome highly manual system. The permit system integrates with the authority’s identity management (IDM) system, AT Park and PinForce Mobile. The community experience is enhanced through a self-service portal (via desktop and mobile browser) to manage permits. This portal provides users anywhere, anytime secure access to prepare, save and submit permits. The seamless integration with AT Park app offers users the ability to manage residential, commercial and visitor permits all from the convenience of the AT Park app.
The most recent innovation introduced with Auckland Transport is PinForce Handheld LPR. The solution has revolutionised enforcement work practices, improving the speed of licence plate capture, accuracy and ultimately parking equity for the community.
