About the Parking Australia Board


The Board of Directors administers Parking Australia’s affairs, subject to the vote of members and those willing to offer their services as board members. Board members are elected by the membership at the association’s Annual General Meeting, normally for a term of 3 years. 

Becoming a Parking Australia Director
Members of Parking Australia  are invited to nominate for the position of director at the Annual General Meeting. By embarking on a role as a board member it is important that you are able to make a commitment to the board and to the association in order to implement the vision and strategies determined by the board and that you have personal aspirations that you would like to achieve for Parking Australia. By being a part of the board, you will be able to make a difference and assist in implementing the board’s vision. Serving on the Parking Australia board can be a positive experience and will clearly enhance your understanding of the parking industry and its people.

The role of a director of Parking Australia Ltd is a voluntary task requiring a significant commitment. The position is normally for a term of 3 years, but directors can be re-elected for 2 further terms of 3 years each. In order to understand the requirements for nomination, it is strongly recommended that you read Sections 33 and 34 of the Constitution of Parking Australia Ltd to assist you in deciding whether you are eligible to nominate. All Board members must have a Director Identification Number prior to commencing as a director.

Parking Australia Committees

Board members volunteer to participate on committees which evaluate and plan the association’s main functions. There are four separate committees which each feature specific roles and responsibilities, in relation to the association’s strategic plan: Events; Finance, Audit and Risk; Membership and Stakeholder Engagement; and Policy and Advocacy.
